  1. If there ever was an idea custom made for a Jay Leno monologue, this was it: The Babadook is a forward monster flick. Isn't that like any other mainstream horror movie to appeal to the masses that tries to be clever? What ever happened to real, scary horror icons?
I happen to sympathize with the average movie-goer, though, because perhaps mainstream cinema has killed smart and depthful movies in attempt to please a more mainstream audience who consider cinema as more of a casual filmgoing experience.

  2. If ever there was an idea custom-made for a Jay Leno monologue, this was it: Why read the book when you can watch the movie? Isn't that like reading the sheet music instead of listening to the song? What ever happened to taking the easy way out?
I happen to sympathize with the book reader, though perhaps because I prefer the book over the movie. The movie tends to leave out key details and deviate from the authors original ideas.

    8. But you need the sheet music to play the music just like how you need the book to create the movie. Plus, most books and movies are quite different.
I do actually quite enjoy movies, but I also do enjoy reading both music and books. The easy way out is defiantly a common option though so I do sympathize with those who would rather choose the easy option.

  3. If ever there was an idea custom-made for a Jay Leno monologue, this was it: Exotic animals as pets. Isn't that like taking a lion cub from it's natural habitat, spending thousands on it only to be mauled a couple years later? What ever happened to the common house cat? I happen to sympathize with the exotic pet owners, though, perhaps because they aren't all bad people. Most of them take exceptionally good care of their animals, whether it be a snake or a zebra.

  4. If ever there was an idea custom-made for a Jay Leno monologue, this was it: The candidates for the upcoming presidential elections. Isn't that like choosing to be shot in the left or right foot? Whatever happened to representation of the people? I happen to sympathize with gold fish, they're also told they have no mind, though, perhaps because society feeds up pellets and we readily eat we are all too deserving of what we get.

  5. if ever there was an idea custom-made for a Jay Leno monologue, this was it: Is love a game? Isn't that a rhetorical question? Shouldn't people know to not play with love. Whatever happened to true love? I happen to sympathize with not-so-true love, though, perhaps because I don't believe it exists.

  6. If there was ever an idea custom made for Jay Leno monologue, this was it: why figure out your whole life your senior year? Isn't that like throwing yourself into the future. What ever happened to good things take time. I happen to sympathize with ever other senior though, perhaps because we are all in the same boat.

  7. If there was an idea custom-made for Jay Leno monologue, this was it: School starts at 8:15. Isn't that similar to saying we should working 18 hour shifts to come home to cook and clean? Where does common sense come in? Maybe it's because I think that we should ready ourselves for college not adapt to a false lifestyle. I happen to sympathize with most teachers because they do try to help us succeed.

  8. if ever there was an idea custom-made for a Jay Leno monologue, this was it: Mother gets in trouble for leaving her ten year old alone at home while she works. Isn't that like leaving a dementia patients a alone? Whatever happen to a babysitter? I happen to sympathize with the working mother, though, perhaps because my own mother had to leave me at home alone to watch my own little sister when I was around eleven.

  9. If there was ever an idea custom made for Jay Leno monologue, this was it: Why is there a need to constantly be posting "selfies" on social media? Why do teens and even some adults find this acceptable? Your "friends" or "followers" do not need to see daily pictures of you doing nothing interesting and in an overly thought out "flattering" pose. I happen to sympathize with people who don't go on social media often or are constantly deleting people to avoid a page full of these pictures.

  11. If there was ever an idea custom made for Jay Leno Monologue, this was it: A Teen age plays Big Buck Hunter on his PS3. Why go out and shoot one and experience it yourself when you can fill you virtual trophy case on your PS3.
I happen to sympathize with your everyday average deer. I mean who likes to get shot at for 2 weeks straight while trying to find your soul mate.

  12. If there ever was an idea custom made for a Jay Leno monologue, this was it: Why does Mr.King give us homework everyday? We are innocent teenagers we do not deserve this. Isn't that like sending a kid hunting without a gun to try and kill something.
I happen to sympathize for Joe Anselmo to go home and spend hours upon hours on Comp 1 homework

  13. If ever there was an idea custom made for a Jay Leno monologue, this was it: A small town game warden who harasses all the locals. Isn't that like punishing people for going out and enjoying the outdoors? I happen to sympathize for local townspeople who cannot simply enjoy a family hunting day without being questioned and bothered.

  14. If ever there was an idea custom made for a Jay Leno monologue, this was it: High school student disarms gunman, and gets suspended. Isn’t that like a police officer getting arrested for shooting an armed criminal? Whatever happened to protecting yourself and others? I happen to sympathize with the school, though, perhaps because they have taken a lot of heat for their actions while trying to protect all of the students.

  15. If ever there was an idea custom-made for a Jay Leno monologue, this was it: “Why did the small-town girl took the midnight train going anywhere?”. Isn’t that like abandoning your family and very likely get lost in the middle of the night? Whatever happened to teenage responsibilities and family?
I happen to sympathize with the small-town girl, though, perhaps because she motivated one of the all-time best songs.
